Commencement 2019: Welcome

Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, families, and friends. On behalf of the Class of 2019, I’d like to welcome everyone to this year’s graduation.

(Translated by other seniors in their native language.)

I am sure that every graduate here today feels pride and honor as I do right now.

I hope that we, as seniors, understand the true meaning of education as we are saying goodbye to the school that cultivated us—which gave us the exhilaration of experience and learning.

The school has created a multi-cultural environment and provided a diverse path of development for each student.

It is through this that every single one of us has become the strong, independent young individual we are right now.

Our school focuses on academic excellence while fostering strong connections between the family, the students and our community.

So, I’m sure that the students here will carry the spirit of this school into another 150 years no matter where they are or where they are going to be.

That matters. That means something. Thank you.
